2025 | Hoover Dam Visitor’s Center

We’ve had the pleasure of shooting the iconic Hoover Dam on multiple occasions. An icon of the American west, the massive concrete structure which was wedged between the rock walls of Black Canyon in 1931 is still awe inspiring when peering down upon it in person. Although larger dams have since been built, the Hoover Dam, nearly 100 years after its construction, still retains an unrivaled ability to make one feel small.

Having shot the first phase of the visitor’s center renovation in 2019, we were eager to see how the museum/attraction would be reimagined when fully completed. The second phase of Atherton Construction’s renovation of the visitor’s center did not disappoint. From a video-lined corridor emulating a rock passageway, visitors are led to a number of spacious showrooms, each packed with individual exhibits which tell the many stories of the Dam’s history. Carefully lit and masterfully built, the center’s stunning displays, strong and sparkling terrazzo floors, and thoughtful storytelling are a pleasure to wander.
