Pricing for Real Estate Photography
Clean, simple pricing:
We think pricing for photography shouldn’t be a guessing game, so we have two simple prices for real estate photography: $1000 per day or $150 per hour.
($300 minimum.)
Daily Rate: $1000/day
Our base rate for photography is $1000 per day. What counts? We don’t count driving to the first site, but any travel thereafter counts into the rate. We count a day as an 8-hour package. We know that sometimes you may have to break up a shoot–maybe 2 hours in the day and 6 hours at night. That’s fine. We’ll just add it up to 8. After 8 hours, we’ll continue at the hourly rate. We’d be happy to provide an estimate and tour the property (when appropriate) free of charge.
This is our base rate for photography and is suitable for most real estate photography. See Pricing for Lighting to consider costs for supplemental lighting for a shoot. If you have questions as to whether or not a shoot will require lighting, please contact us.
Hourly Rate: $150/hour
We start our photography pricing at $150 per hour. We charge a $300 minimum, but as with our daily rate, we don’t count driving to the first site. (Travel thereafter counts as time spent shooting.) If the shoot adds up to 6, 7, or 8 hours in a single day, we’ll automatically drop the rate to the daily rate. Any consecutive work performed in a single day will be billed at $1000. Once the eighth hour of work in a single day has begun, an additional $150 will be billed and $150 will be billed upon the commencement of each hour thereafter.
This is our base rate for photography and is suitable for most real estate photography. See Pricing for Lighting to consider costs for supplemental lighting for a shoot. If you have questions as to whether or not a shoot will require lighting, please contact us.
How Long Will it Take to Shoot?
Every shoot is different, but at a home which is tidy, prepared, and ready to shoot, we usually cover about 1200-1500 square feet per hour. Exteriors with special exterior features or yards larger than a half acre may need to take into account a little extra time. This is not common. The more prepared a home is, the less time it will take to photograph. Nearly all well-prepared homes 3000 square feet or smaller will cost $300 to shoot. Call us and we’ll gladly give you tips in preparing your home for a speedy shoot.
Note: Vacant properties photograph faster than occupied properties. We can typically cover more than 1500 square feet per hour in a vacant home.
