When Danelle Dodds was putting together an article on trade show exhibit photography for Exhibit City News, we were flattered that she called us to comment and act as a resource for her piece. We talked about how photographing a booth is really telling the story of the exhibit. A brand has a story to tell, priorities to promote, and an experience built to do just that. Great exhibit photography hinges on understanding how a brand is telling their story through their booth. What is the visitor supposed to experience and feel? Where are their eyes (and feet) directed through the design of the booth? To be able to walk away with images which tell the story of a high-profile presence at a high-profile show means having a conversation about the message and the strategy employed to get that message across.
Interested in what makes exhibit photography unique? Give Danelle’s article a read. It’s the product of a fantastic chat and the experience of a couple of guys who wander the halls of expo centers when no one else wants to be there.
